Tank & Pressure Vessel Automation

From engineering input to a complete 3D model, drawings and parts list, driven by a single set of parameters.

Overview

What it does

Our flagship solution automates the repetitive parts of tank and pressure vessel design. Engineers enter the design inputs, and the system builds the model, assembly, nozzles, drawings and parts list in a consistent, repeatable way.

Capabilities

  • Vertical and horizontal vessel configurations
  • Parametric shells, heads, supports and attachments
  • Automated nozzle placement and sizing
  • Assembly generation with constraints
  • Drawing and BOM generation from the model
  • Built on Autodesk Inventor with iLogic and .NET

Workflow

From input to complete design

  1. 01

    Engineering Input

Design conditions, dimensions and materials are entered once.

  2. 02

    Parameter Processing

Inputs are checked and converted into driving parameters.

  3. 03

    3D Model Generation

Shell, heads and structural parts are modeled from parameters.

  4. 04

    Assembly Automation

Components are placed and constrained into the vessel assembly.

  5. 05

    Nozzle Automation

Nozzles are positioned, sized and cut into the shell and heads.

  6. 06

    Engineering Drawings

Drawing views and annotations are produced from the model.

  7. 07

    BOM / Parts List

A parts list is generated to match the design.

Benefits

Why it matters

One source of input

Design data is entered once and drives the model, drawings and parts list.

Consistent output

Standard rules mean similar vessels are modeled and documented the same way.

Engineer-controlled

Automation handles repetition while engineers keep control of design decisions.
